Training

At Data-Tel, we take pride in our products and services, and training is no exception. Data-Tel provides training before, during and after the installation.

Before installation takes place, a project coordinator will contact you to ensure that all of the pieces are in place, so we can install the system. The coordinator will walk you through obtaining your T1 configurations and other items that you are responsible for obtaining prior to installation. The coordinator will be responsible for shipping your system to you and providing training manuals. Also at this time, a pre-training session will happen via the Internet using NetMeeting to provide you with an overview of the system. Use this time to think about questions you'll need to have answered when the technician is onsite for installation and training.

Installation and training usually require one week at your site. Our trainers will train your system administrators and/or managers on every aspect of the system. Then we will teach your agents how to use the system to make/receive calls.

Your trainer will contact you within a week of the completion of the installation to address any follow-up questions or concerns you may have.

NEW! Online Training:

Data-Tel now offers Online Video Training for xSELLerator Hosted customers. The training is accessed through a Customer Login screen and is available for unlimited use.

Each menu item in the software has its own descriptive video (streaming .wmv file). The videos are accessed through a Flash interface that replicates the look of the software. Customers will begin to familiarize themselves with the software as they learn!

Maintenance Contract

By purchasing a maintenance contract for your system, you will have peace of mind knowing that you will have control of your system and an established budget for repairs.

Data-Tel supports our products through various maintenance programs that cover varying levels of client needs. Our maintenance contract clients receive priority service over non-contract clients. Support ranges from onsite software and server hardware maintenance repair with 24/7 phone support to basic phone support billed at an hourly rate.

Plans:

  • Data-Tel Long Distance:
    The Data-Tel Long Distance maintenance option is designed to provide you with the highest level of support, including annual software upgrades, at minimal or no cost to you. This is achieved by applying a portion of your long distance revenue to your maintenance contract fees when you purchase long distance service through Data-Tel. Ideally your long distance usage each month will cover the fee for Data-Tel OnSite support, which is our premier level of support.
  • Data-Tel OnSite:
    Data-Tel Onsite includes onsite software and server hardware maintenance and repair (for catastrophic server or software failure only), within 24-hours if necessary, as well as phone support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and one annual software upgrade. Mail-in service for client machines that you purchased from Data-Tel is also available.
  • Data-Tel Phone:
    Data-Tel Phone includes phone support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and one annual software upgrade. If onsite support is needed, the customer must pay additional fees for the onsite support.
  • Data-Tel Basic:
    To pay per incident, you can choose the Data-Tel Basic plan.

Long Distance*

Data-Tel Info Solutions offers clients the opportunity to purchase Long Distance Service at competitive rates.

With a Data-Tel OnSite maintenance contract, you will enjoy:

With 4-digit billing, your answering machine calls and hang ups are not rounded up to the nearest whole number, but charged as close to real-time as possible.

Example:

Typical 6-second phone call (for predictive dialers) on hang-ups and answering machines.) Assume the $.029 rate:

4-digit billing - $.0029
2-digit billing - $.0100

If you were to make 10,000 6-second phone calls at the $.029 rate:

4-digit billing - $29
2-digit billing - $100
